Brachyscome est un genre de plantes à fleurs de la famille des Astéracées . La plupart sont endémiques à l'Australie et quelques-unes se trouvent en Nouvelle-Zélande et en Nouvelle-Guinée .

Ce sont des plantes herbacées annuelles et vivaces et de petits arbustes . Les espèces ont une rosette basale de feuilles et/ou des feuilles disposées en alternance sur la tige. Les limbes sont entiers ou divisés. Les capitules sont solitaires ou portés en petits corymbes . Le capitule présente une rangée de fleurons ligulés dans des tons de blanc, bleu, rose ou mauve et des fleurons discaux jaunes.
